Interaction Designer for digital photo application

*Interaction Designer for digital photo application in Boston area.*

We are a consumer electronics startup looking for experienced help designing
interfaces for our first application. We strongly believe in simple,
user-centric design – so much so that it is the key feature of our product.
You will be a part of a team that uses cutting edge technologies and
produces innovative designs for both small devices and the web. We are
looking for innovative thinkers who can work independently and who will
report to the VP of Products and Design (yes, we have a VP of Design!). You
can call yourself an interface designer, user experience designer or
interaction designer. What we are looking for is someone who is passionate
about design and sees it as an integral part of a product's success.

*Responsibilities include
*- Concept modeling based upon an understanding of our business and user
models
- Information architecture
- Interaction design
- Informal and formal usability testing
- High level and detailed mockups, storyboards, and prototypes

*Qualifications
*- 1 to 10 years of experience in related field
- Passion for interaction design and the ability to learn about new design
methods and technologies
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Visio, and related tools
- Working knowledge of web technologies such HTML

*Additional Qualifications*
- Visual design experience
- Degree in Usability/Human Factors or related field
- Working knowledge of Adobe Flash animation

We are looking to fill this position immediately for an engagement length of
4-8 weeks. There is a possibility for future additional projects and
full-time employment.

Compensation will be a mix of cash and equity, payable on a per-project
basis. Although we will have occasional face-to-face meetings, you can work
