User Experience Architect, SeaChange International

The User Experience Principal will join an existing user experience team responsible for researching and designingcustomer-facing software solutions supporting SeaChange’s businesses,as well as contributing to next-generation product design and implementation. This candidate will work with the team in producing quality experiences in upcoming products and will join them in facilitating User Experience efforts across the international organization.
Specifically, the individual hired for this position will be responsible for:
· Working with the user experience engineers and visual designer to focus on the production of design and usability guidelines, GUI standards documentation, user profiles/personas, wire frames, logic diagrams, functional specifications and user experience documents.
· Proactively working closely with the Engineering Managers and Product Management toensure the GUI product designs meet the product requirements.
· Collaborating with teams in other offices to ensure a consistent experience across all SeaChange Products.
· Championingthe use of usability practices and standards for teams who may not haved edicated a user experience resource Job Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Dynamic person who creates clear goals, fosters accountability/ownership, leads by example and builds loyalty.
· Team player who will build bridges inter-and intra-departmentally.
· Recent experience with complex products, especially quickly learning complex systems.
· Proven track record of good written/verbal communication skills with customers,partners, and internal teams.
· 10+years technical experience.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading, producing and documenting corporate standards or style guides for Information design, UI design,Interaction design, and Usability.
· Experience with customer facing activities required.
· Strong collaboration skills, ability to build teams, effective communication skills,leadership ability, creative problem-solving, and ability to inspire others.
· Solid understanding of User Centered Design principles.
· Proficiencyat producing wire frames, logic diagrams, functional specifications, usecases, and user experience documentation.
· Technicalunderstanding of .NET, AJAX, CSS, and web services a plus.
· Desirededucational background includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ComputerScience, Information Science Information, Human Factors, Information Architecture,Usability, Graphic Design, or related field.
· USCitizen or permanent resident.
