PSSI has a client in the Greater Boston area with an immediate need for
a User Interface Designer / Information Architect on a permanent basis.

In conjunction with middle-tier and back-end developers will apply
interface design and information architecture principles to the design
of web applications and web user interfaces in support of our client's
enterprise applications such as HR, finance, and procurement. The
successful candidate will also provide production support to existing
applications and assume a leadership role in developing standards and
guidelines. He/she will be responsible for gathering design requirements
and turning them into prototypes and subsequently into fully functioning
user interfaces. Experience required in providing time/cost estimates;
coordinating usability design and testing; and communicating effectively
with technologists regarding specifications and implementation
constraints, and with project owners regarding business goals and
mission objectives.
At least five years of experience designing/developing web applications
using HTML/CSS/JavaScript/AJAX; experience utilizing Information
Architecture and Design concepts; ability to manage multiple concurrent
projects; and strong communication skills. Experience with JQuery/Dojo
or another JavaScript framework and a server side scripting language
such as PHP, JSP, or Perl preferred. Java and Struts experience highly
desirable. Seek a self-starter with a strong work ethic who is capable
of managing priorities and is eager to discover trends and adopt best
practices in the field.
