The Vice President of UX will be responsible for the athena user experience across all products and services. You will drive our efforts to create one easy to use, easy to learn user experience across our entire suite of products. The VP of UX will also help build and lead a professional UX team

Because we see this position as critical to our future, you will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. Working together, you will combine business strategy savvy with user centered design principles to lead the creation state of the art web products for our users.


Responsibilities
Lead a team to design a suite of web applications which makes it easy for customers to learn about, buy, use, and self-serve all athena products and services

Own the user experience for all new products.

Build a UX team that will conduct research and produce designs for all of our products. The UX team will lead the effort to create standards for the Product Management and Product Development groups to use in the creation of new products.

Lead the UX team in the design of rational, reusable navigation schemes, components, and templates across all of our products, insuring a consistent, easy to learn and easy to use customer experience.

Lead the online customer training and self servicing capabilities. The goal is to reduce call volume to the customer support center by improving the “learnability” of our products. Just as important, this will help athena communicate our knowledge of best business practices for running a medical practice; helping our customers achieve their goals while providing high quality medical care.

Evolve the brand experience of our products

Help recruit and hire a team of interactive designs experts, customer and usability research experts, and graphic, animation, and video design skills as required.

Work in tight partnership with Product Management as well as Product Development and Operations. Lead initiatives from creation all the way to implementation and post launch evaluation.

Position Requirements
Candidates must have ten years in user experience management, including significant experience leading a world-class user experience team within a multi-product business unit.

The candidate must have deep knowledge of the creative process involved in creating elegant and highly usable web applications, a passion for educating others, and the ability to instil these processes into our product development cycle.
