Responsibilities:
* Join our user experience team to implement, plan and refine industry-leading user interfaces for existing and new web-based products and services.
* Define user interfaces for better user productivity, discoverability and simplicity.
* Drive development of interaction design from conceptualization to implementation with use cases, interaction diagrams, sketches, story boards or screen flows, flow diagrams, wire frames, low and high fidelity prototypes.
* Apply and evolve techniques including user research, usability testing, interviewing, writing surveys and evaluations
* Synthesize information from multiple sources including web analytics and customer feedback to inform your work
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define the user interface.
* Create mock-ups for internal reviews and usability testing.
* Maintain UI specifications such as online style guides and standards documents.
* Keep informed of new technologies, interaction design trends, accepted practices in web development and design.
* Champion the user experience strategy and vision set by the UX team
Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in design related field including interaction design, industrial design or human computer interaction.
* 3-5 years of interaction/interface design experience on web applications or desktop applications.
* Strong foundation and skills in user interface methods and a strong visual and interaction design sense
* Passionate about customer focused research and applying it to create effective interaction designs.
* Understanding of HTML and CSS; Axure and Morae experience a plus
* Working knowledge of screen design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Well-organized with strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously across multiple teams
* Motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Experience working in an agile development process a plus
* Portfolio a plus.

User Experience Architect, SeaChange International
The User Experience Principal will join an existing user experience team responsible for researching and designingcustomer-facing software solutions supporting SeaChange’s businesses,as well as contributing to next-generation product design and implementation. This candidate will work with the team in producing quality experiences in upcoming products and will join them in facilitating User Experience efforts across the international organization.
Specifically, the individual hired for this position will be responsible for:
· Working with the user experience engineers and visual designer to focus on the production of design and usability guidelines, GUI standards documentation, user profiles/personas, wire frames, logic diagrams, functional specifications and user experience documents.
· Proactively working closely with the Engineering Managers and Product Management toensure the GUI product designs meet the product requirements.
· Collaborating with teams in other offices to ensure a consistent experience across all SeaChange Products.
· Championingthe use of usability practices and standards for teams who may not haved edicated a user experience resource Job Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Dynamic person who creates clear goals, fosters accountability/ownership, leads by example and builds loyalty.
· Team player who will build bridges inter-and intra-departmentally.
· Recent experience with complex products, especially quickly learning complex systems.
· Proven track record of good written/verbal communication skills with customers,partners, and internal teams.
· 10+years technical experience.
