Product Design/Product Management Intern

The Product Management team at Kenexa in Waltham encompasses product design, product management, and product marketing for the Kenexa Recruiter BrassRing product line. We are looking to hire one or more interns.

Depending on the intern's area of interest, as well as our specific needs at the time, an intern would have the opportunity to participate in activities such as

> Gathering product and design requirements
> Eliciting feedback from users, via surveys, interviews, onsite visits, etc.
> Researching market trends and conducting competitive analyses
> Defining business rules for implementation
> Participating in design specification brainstorming and review sessions with software engineering and QA
> Writing functional specifications
> Designing user interfaces
> Creating low to mid-fidelity mockups and wireframes
> Coordinating and conducting internal and external usability testing

> Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a related degree program.

Position Overview

Adobe Systems Incorporated is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to join the

Creative Suite Design team.

As an Adobe Sr. Experience Designer, you will be responsible for creating great

experiences for several members of the Adobe product family. You will work

collaboratively with fellow members of the UE (User Experience) team to conceptualize,

Responsibilities

As a UE Team member, you would:

* Define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user productivity.

Engineer to conduct Human Engineering and Usability tasks for
communications, network management, and encryption systems and products.
Responsibilities include: requirements and task analysis, create,
evaluate and modify prototypes, scenarios, and user interaction examples
to support software application development. Develop user profiles, with
emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, and
physical manipulation considerations. Implement various usability
testing methods to gather and document user feedback on designs as
appropriate.

Position requires ability to work effectively on one or more
multi-disciplinary design teams and to contribute to overall development
of project/product design concepts and implementation strategies while
providing input on user design considerations.

Requires knowledge and use of all Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel,
and Access database.
* MS in Cognitive/Experimental Psychology or Human Factors Engineering
with solid technical capability. Working knowledge of ergonomics and
anthropometry.
Applicant must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining a US Security
Clearance.
5+ years experience as a Human Factors or Usability Specialist.

UX Lead - Monster.com

Starting immediately, Monster is looking to hire an energetic UX Lead to create engaging and meaningful interactive experiences for our end users globally. We’re looking for a passionate IxD professional to help us redefine how consumers will use the internet to search for jobs and candidates, connect, network and manage their careers.

You will be leading a multi-disciplinary team of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers and copywriters committed to developing innovative, easy-to-use, best-of-breed new products and overhauling existing ones in accordance with Monster’s new brand guidelines.

You will participate in UX research, persona development, scenario modeling, concepts, annotated wireframes, interactive models, and functional prototypes. You will be exposed to web 2.0 paradigms and methodologies that will transform linear UX thinking into a multidimensional experience.

This position reports to the UX Director, Seeker or Employer, who will assist you with your career progression, and is based in Maynard, MA.

Essential Functions

· Responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of the UX projects you oversee, managing inputs from Product Management, Program Management and Engineering Departments.

· While not a manager, you will be expected to be a UX leader for design and provide direction and guidance to the team.

· Act as a key catalyst in driving a culture of teamwork and innovation centered around the needs of our customers.

· Effectively communicate across all multidisciplinary teams within UX.

· Bring strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate conceptual ideas (business needs and user goals) into interaction and design solutions.

· Assess data from multiple sources (product requirements, tech constraints, UX research, web analytics…) and synthesize it to develop efficient user scenarios, taxonomies, classification schemes, navigation systems, design patterns, etc.

· Create and effectively present UX deliverables (wireframes, workflows, prototypes, etc.) that explain and negotiate design solutions to key stakeholders.

· Develop competitive assessments and perform site heuristic reviews.

· Help define, request and incorporate relevant UX research and data from customer feedback to appropriately inform design decisions.

· Help define UX performance metrics (error rate, abandon rate, average number of clicks, perceived easiness, etc.) for every project to track its success.

· Upholding UX guiding principles and style in project execution.

· Create, maintain and share project documentation and UX guidelines after project execution.

· Disseminate best practices across the UX organization.



Requirements

· 3+ years experience in comparable roles.

· Bachelor’s degree required in design-related discipline: Interaction, Graphic or Interface design.

· Proven track record delivering high quality work while hitting commitments and timeframes based on product and business requirements.

· Ability to successfully execute on, and load balance across, multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

· Ability to effectively negotiate conflict and persuade others on the merits of a design solution.

· Ability to assess, prioritize and make trade-offs against business, technical and user constraints.

· Thorough understanding of overall web site design, including basic usability, industry standards, web analytics and brand.

· Proficient to expert in some of these tools: Microsoft Visio, Intuitec, Axure, Morae, UserView, Clickdensity, Tapefailure, Photoshop, Fireworks.

· Knowledge of cross-platform browser compatibility restrictions and requirements.

· Experience with web 2.0, design patterns, rich internet applications and delivery methodologies desired.
